    EYMARD MASS

This mass setting was commissioned in 2011 by the Provincial, Fr Graeme Duro SSS, and the Leadership Team of the Australian Province of the Blessed Sacrament Congregation, in Commemoration of the bicentenary of the birth of the founder of the Congregation, St Peter Julian Eymard. Hence the title: Eymard Mass.

It was intended for use at the weekday masses at St Francis’ Church, Melbourne and so needed to be easy to learn and sing. Hopefully that is the case, and that it will prove useful to other parishes as well.

    MASS OF ST PATRICK

This mass setting was the result of a commission from Dr Paul Taylor, Director of Music at St Patrick’s Cathedral, Melbourne in 2017. His brief was for a mass that, in his words: “could be dressed up or down”, meaning able to be used for festive occasions with brass, organ and timpani as well as choir and congregation. It had also to be available for choir, congregation and organ, and to be accessible as a parish mass.

The Mass setting was named after the Cathedral and the Patron Saint of Ireland.

Liturgical Song is privileged to publish Roger Heagney's liturgical music catalogue and make his compositions available once again.

His choral and orchestral arrangements are available in "For Choirs, Volume 3" and "For Conductors, Volume 2".

Also available is the 2019 second edition of "Psalms for the Church's Year".
